Prohibition on sending meat products to Taiwan
Bhutan Postal Corporation Limited would like to inform general public that, until further notice, it is strictly prohibited to send any meat products to Taiwan due to the country’s stringent regulations and policies on animal health and food safety.
In order to discourage any illegal activities related to the shipment of meat products, any individual found to have sent meat products to Taiwan will face severe penalties. For the first offense, a fine of NT$200000 will be imposed on the offender. The subsequent offenses will result in significantly higher penalties, with a fine of NT$1,000,000.
