The Bhutan Post management team is pleased to invite expressions of interest from potential investors and operators for the operation of a 3-star hotel and commercial spaces within the newly built GPO building in Gelephu City. This initiative aims to professionalise postal services, promote sustainable tourism and enhance the local economy while providing a unique experience to visitors and residents alike.
Project Overview:
Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) is designed to be a hub of tranquility, wellness, and natural beauty in the heart of Gelephu. The GMC development promises to create an inclusive environment that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Bhutan while integrating modern amenities and mindful living principles.
Opportunities Available:
- 3-Star Hotel:
- We are seeking an experienced hotel operator or developer to design and manage a 3-star hotel with 45 bedded rooms that will cater to both leisure and business travelers befitting the GMC vision of mindful living in the 21st century.
- The hotel shall prioritize sustainability, local culture, and wellness offerings, providing a serene getaway that aligns with the mindfulness theme of the City.
- The property shall include a range of amenities, such as a restaurant, wellness center, and conference facilities.
- Shop/Office Spaces:
- We invite expressions of interest from business operators and entrepreneurs to occupy business spaces within the building.
- Those opting for shops should enhance the visitor experience and promote local products, handicrafts, and services aligning with the mindfulness theme of the City.
- We encourage diverse retail concepts that foster the principles of mindfulness and sustainability.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proven experience in the hospitality and retail sectors.
- A strong commitment to sustainable practices and community engagement.
- Financial stability and capacity to invest in the proposed developments.
- Ability to demonstrate innovative concepts that align with the vision of Gelephu Mindfulness City.
